Of everything I ever saw, there were two movies that permanently got me hoked on anime. Since Ash already claimed the Last Unicorn, the remaining one would have to be of Nausica waiting with her arms outstretched with the baby orm at her side as the stampeding orm are about to run her over. After seeing that one scene, I could never watch animation in the same way (the emotion, the drama, the tragedy, and success all combined into that one moment). It was Nausica at her best. But as a close second I would take the scene of her under the shed orn eye lid as the Miyastachi spores fell around her and yes I know I am spelling the name wrong, but I do not have time to go look it up. Much happier even if the spores would kill you.
