... the fact that you probably don't CARE totally aside... ^_^
I was just working on one of my own cel paintings, something I've 
not really had time for for a while. I am currently working on an image 
from the Manga (book 4, front cover plate if you're interested) and was having 
a difficult time getting the brown that I needed for Ryo-ohki in her various forms. 
The brown that is the standard cel-paint brown appeared to be too red. So I added green 
(not worried about graying it out too much, because Ryo-chan is a desaturated little cabbit), 
but then it still wasn't right. So I looked at the paint I'd mixed, looked at the image I was 
working from, and determined what I'd mixed was too yellow. So I added purple. It helped. 
So I added more purple. And more purple. Finally I had a match! 
So, the trick to getting Ryo-ohki's color right is to add more purple than you think is possible to 
get brown. Go figure.
I realize that no one but me probably cares about this, but you get to hear it anyway. ^_^
