Not all cels are expensive. If you're willing to buy cels
from some unknown anime series or characters, they're
pretty cheap like a few bucks.
For some popular series, yes, they cost
more, but still, there are some cheaper ones for the lower
quality ones like small character shots. Of course, if you
are going for the premium quality ones like close-up face
shots, yes, they're expensive.
I started off buying cheap ones first, then as my economic
status getting better, I started to buy higher quality cels.
In the beginning, I started off buying any cel under $10,
then as time went on with better incomes, I increased
my limits gradually, now I set the highest limit at $200.
The bottom line is you have to set a limit for yourself if
you think you can afford it. If you only have $5 to spend,
you just have to go after the lower quality or unknown ones,
when you have more money later on, go ahead and increase
your limit. |
