Hello everyone,

Our Anime club here at UCSD is going to be having it's first annual Anime Fest. Since it's our first one things will be a little rough and we're not quite sure how everything is going to run,but we are trying our best to keep things in order and make this a fun event for all.

There are going to be three main focuses of this event.  One is going to be a video game contest with some really nice prizes.  Last time I checked we were going to be giving away a playstation or saturn to the winner of the video game contest.  The second aspect of the festival is going to be anime showings. We are planing on showing some of the tapes that our club has subbed, and hopefully premering a couple of titles.  And the final portion will be a dealers room.  Of which there
will be several cel dealers there that are planning to attend; which includes: Nichibei Anime, Ed Noonchester Artwork and Anime Lane, as
well as some other dealers that will be selling more of the ordinary items like pencil boards, wall scroll etc...

UC San Diego (UCSD) is located in La Jolla,California for those of you unfamilar with where the school is.  The event is going to take place next Thursday (14th) at 5:00 pm and run till approximately 11:00 pm.  It will be located in the Price Center Ballroom in the center of the campus.  The price of admission is free to everyone, the only fees of any sort that you have to worry about is the  parking and that is $6 (as mandated by the school, and unfortunately there is no free parking on the campus, sorry).
