That has nothing to do with it at all ! This is HTML.
That mean that some characters have _special_ meaning
and you can't put them just "like this" in a page.
Nothing changed : it wa always like that.

The "ampersand" (commercial and) character is one of
them so you can't use it. If I "escape" it, it wouldn't
be possible anymore to use any HTML code that need it
in a message !
