    Cels are very delicate.  They do not like heat!  
DO NOT ever use a hair dryer and NEVER put it in the fridge.  
(By the way, who did you hear this from exactly?  I don't 
think any of the major cel dealer at AX '98 would have said 
that.)

    It's actually quite easy to separate a cel 
from the paper.  I've never had a problem doing it myself.  
If the cel is really stuck, you might have to sacrifice  
the drawing.  As mentioned, be patient (although it usually 
only takes me a few minutes, sometimes it takes a bit longer).
If it doesn't seem to be going right, stop, and maybe try 
again later.  Remember that you want to peel back the drawing 
while keeping the cel flat.
