As for a main character, this depends...take Fushigi Yuugi for instance...the main character
Miaka is worth much less than many of the other characters...perhaps, having
a popular character is more the key.
As for many characters in the shot, Often times it's nice to have a single portrait shots...
however, many group shots, especially if they contain a full cast or a full
team from a series are worth more. It really varies.
Bright colors are really nice. However, there are some interesting other
tones that people like, like nights shades, that are also nice to have sometimes.
As for seqence rarity. Like one cel was recently advertised as the _only_ cel from the
sequence. Also with sequences is whether it's a 'Key' cel...often an A1 (B1..C1)
Like with any collectible, rarity is an issue. That's why cels from movies
are generally more expensive, because there are generally less, and cels from series
where few cels have been released are more expensive...as are cels from old series
where it's hard to get your hands on the cels anymore.
I guess a lot of scenes are considered special, especially to some people. Cels
from the opening or ending sequence are generally worth more, as are cels from special
reused animation like the henshin transformation sequence cels. Often times being from
the first or last episode is noted. Generally, knowing which episode a cel is from is
good. The scene is important to the individual, so it's hard to gain. I guess if the
scene was really popular or powerful, the cel would be worth more.
It matters most what you think about it. period.
Anyway, shop around, compare prices, ask around, you'll get a sort of feel for
it, no one knows for sure. Best of luck and good hunting.
