Yes, I got an email from him very early this morning.  

I had not recieved the total from from an order I placed
last week.  I figured that he was busy upgrading the site
so I didn't email him till yesterday asking if my order
had gone through. He got back to me and said he was unsure
why the confirmation email had not reached me earlier. 
Who knows what happened.  All I know is that I am 3 for 3
in having the site freeze on me during checkout and I just
end up emailing my order in to him.  Hopefully that will be
fixed when he changes servers.
