The prices of EVA cels are more than 500-1000$...more like 500-2500$......there's no way you can purchase a Rei cel for 1000$....and those with matching backgrounds, and movie cels are in the upper price range and the 500$ being an extremely small size cel.
And no they won't be released soon...highly unlikely even next year. I have a friend in Gainax who has told me this.....even if they do get released I really wonder how many nice ones will end up in America...dealers in Japan are ready to hoard up all they can and are prepared to drive up the marketprice...and I would doubt anyone, even at the initial release of the cels will be stupid enough to sell it at the low marketprice when they know that the price would immediately increase in a short period of time. Therefore, it's highly doubtful that EVA cel will arrive in America at a cheap price....I may be wrong though. |
