I hate to step into this as I really haven't had much to
do with any of these threads, but have you tried the forum
search feature?  Yahoo auctions aren't the only topic that
is often brought up, I feel using the forum search before
posting a question may be a good way not to illicit such
a painful response.  I don't know what to do if your 
browser can't handle the search. (And don't forget to 
search the archives too!)

I've never actually gotten to the point of bidding in the
Yahoo Japan auctions, but I know lots of problems have been
gone over on the forum, so perhaps those interested can
read up before the knowledgable ones in the United States
wake up and the knowledgable ones who are awake get around
to reading the board. ^_^
