Yeah, I don't care for pop-ups too much either.
I did go ahead and chose them over the banner bar
at the top of every page though. I thought the
banner was too distracting to my gallery layout.
The cool thing about the pop-ups is after you get
the first one, don't close it...just minimize it
to your windows bar at the bottom and you won't get 
another as you browse through the gallery!!! ~_^
