This is a little off-topic, but I was wondering on the 
least painful way to tell a Japanese friend how to deposit 
an American IPMO (in US dollars) in Japan, since I know 
nothing of the process by which it is done. I've heard that 
some banks charge a fee to deposit IPMOs - can they just be 
exchanged at a Japanese post office without fee? Some 
among you all live in Japan; can you please explain to me 
how it is best done?
