Actually, I've found that for "toy cels" (anything I play
around with making on my own) Liquitex arcrylic paints work
wonderfully. They don't flex quite as well as real cel
paints, but they're much cheaper. Where the actual cel
material is concerned, I'm fortunate to have a very posh
art store near me in Boston who will order in things like
blank cels. . . I never thought about using transparencies!
^_^ Good idea!

Oh, and for the lines (in case you want to ink them
yourself) there's very little on the common market that
beats real india inks. They take a long time to dry, but
they don't bleed into your paints (at least not into the
Liquitex stuff) and they come in various colors.

I've never heard of this "flo-ease", but I think I have to
look into it!! I have problems from time to time with my
paints getting thick after I work with them for a tad too
long. (Like when I'm trying to mix just the right color. . .)
Where do you get it and is it very expensive?

I haven't made a cel in a while. . . Maybe I should dust
off my brushes! ^_^

Many Sharp Smiles,
