Truly, this is fascinating. Another perspective on our cel
tastes. ^_^
I develop a severe case of hives when I'm around any of the
"Shi* Tenchi" things, or El Hazard Alternate crxp, TV shows,
what not; actually, almost any incarnation of a multi-incarnate
anime that isn't the original will do that to me, since I'm a
purist. (hai hai) When they change character designs, art,
storyline, and everything else, I get *very* irritable and I'm
not fun to be around. (Though some people may claim I'm not
fun to be around in general ^_-)
The advantage of this sincere dislike is that I can concentrate
my limited funds on the incarnation that I want without
spreading my money around. The disadvantage is that the original
incarnations are usually rarer, more difficult to find, and
more expensive (e.g. Tenchi OAV and EL Hazard OAV 1 compared
to subsequent incarnations). Oh well. Cest la vie. |
