Re: In memory of Peanuts and Charles Shultz... (Tue Jan 4 20:09:16 2000 )

Dear Brian,

I was quite shocked at the news myself that Mr. Schultz's
cancer had gotten worse enough to force him into early
retirement. Peanuts was always my favorite strip, and the
cartoons it spawned off were all very memorable, funny, and
entertaining (especially the music composed by Vince
Guaraldi, David Foster, and the others). I was always
trying to root for poor old Charlie Brown who reminded me
of myself, which I'm sure he did to many others as well. I
was just going to write a get well letter to Mr. Schultz
today as well as soon as I figure out where I should send
it (Right now, my local paper looks like a good place to
get my message through.).

I am really hoping that Mr. Schultz will be able to pull
through, so that he can enjoy the rest of his retirement in
peace with his family.

I thought it was quite a sad last strip ;(. We just had an
article in my local paper about Mr. Schultz's real little
red haired girl that got away in his life. Sigh.

Sincerely,

Sonia
