I don't get why this is such a big deal. What are images
that they need to be so "protected"? You are not the
person trying to fradulantly sell the cel, so it would not
seem to be for your protection, and your cel is safe in its
frame or in your celbook, so it doesn't need protection...

Here's the hard truth. To absolutely prevent people from
"stealing" your images, DON'T POST THEM ON A WEBSITE.

I think that it's better to take the chance that people like
me will download your pictures and use them for wallpaper,
and put something on the site stating the images are your
property, don't take without permission...blah blah, and
then don't worry about it unless some legal matter comes
up, which I doubt, but then at least you have documentation.

As far as permission goes, I think when you put an image on
a site you are giving people permission, to view it and
download it, but the line should be drawn when they try to
publish it as their own. I don't ask for every image I
save, I think that's silly. I like anime backgrounds, and
I would probably get annoyed if I had a big site and people
emailed me constantly saying, "can I do a right click and
choose, 'set as wallpaper' to use your image for 3 days?".

I have no intention of doing anything beyond looking at the
picture- it's nice if I don't have to leave my browser open
to do it.

Thanks for posting your cels people- it is nice to share the
beauty of them with others.
