Well. . . I'm on Ebay a lot and I can say I *DON'T* like
Ebay very much. Why am I there then? Mainly, to collect
Hard Rock Cafe pins - and I have news for you! If you think
cels are tough to get for a fair price, try nailing any of
the severely limited HRC pins or pin sets. Just like with
rare cels, the only way to even see some of them is to head
to Ebay where some schmuck with a lot of money and time on
their hands is selling them at triple the price they paid
after buying out the Cafe they came from. Middlemanning (is
that a word?) is basically half of what Ebay is used for -
the other half being a garage sale.

I've said it before and will say it again. Extra middlemen,
while not doing anything really wrong, are a pain in the
@$$. At least with the HRC pins, there's more than one of
each and the middlemen aren't looting the stores I could
directly shop at - not the case with cels from dealers I
could buy from myself. :P

However. . . Ebay can be a good thing too. Don't feel
crummy about selling a cel that you've grown tired of or
that you only got because it was tied into a two-cel deal!
I'd hate to think that a cel I would adore is sitting in
the closet of someone who doesn't like it very much (for
whatever the reason may be) but who thinks it's wrong to
resell it. :( In that case, it's good to give others a
chance. :)

But I hear you all. . . As much as I say "nothing is wrong"
with being that type of middleman, I can't imagine having
that little honor - or even call it "conscience" if you
want to - that you would do something like that with
anything. (Be it cels, HRC pins or any of the other myrid
of things people collect.)

Now allow me shameless exuberance, though. . . Because my
Christmas present to me this year is actually coming via
Ebay from the wonderful world of CelMart. I'll see if I can
include the photo below. I've never tried this photo thing
before. Here goes. . . (And I hope I didn't outbid any
now-unhappy people here! I'd feel very bad. *sweatdrop*)

Many Sharp Smiles,
--Drac (currently carefully scanning all her cels on her
new scanner! Yay! I have a gallery!. . .even if it
is only on my own computer. :)
