Hi,

You are doing this to torture me, right? >_<

That's a really nice cel and any price that I do put on it
would be way above my budget (is this a masochistic thing
that I put astronomical prices on things I think I can never
own?) Anyway, I am not a dealer and am very much a neophyte
in cel collecting so take whatever I say with a grain of
salt and I welcome anyone with a better handle on pricing
to correct me.

Let's see. I've only seen a couple Nausicaa cels up for sale
these last few months. I bought one for $120 which is on my
website if anyone cares to see it. It's tiny but I like it.
I've seen a similar setup (i.e., dramatic cel that fills the
entire cel) of Laputa at Vega that went for around $650 if
I remember correctly. Yann currently has a Nausicaa cel where
you see Nausicaa approaching a downed bug (her back is
turned to us) for $599. Who knows what the Nausicaa cel at
Anime Shop vi went for because I haven't heard back from
them. I've also seen GOOD Totoro cels at Taro go in the
thousand range.

Assuming that the cel is not stuck to anything and is in good
condition, I would estimate $850-$950 in the current
market. I could be wrong.

Personally, I've been toying with the idea of waiting for a
primo cel like this to dump all my cash into
instead of blowing 100-200 bucks a pop (ouch, that hurt to
say) for less interesting cels.

Are you interested in selling it? I could always arrange
to donate a kidney or something.^_^

Wendy
