Actually, Yann goes out of his way to try to help even
small time customers. If there is something you really
want, why not email some dealers and tell them what you
are looking for, so they can keep an eye out, if willing?
That way you aren't putting additional pressure on the
dealers a day or two before the update, asking them
to change the way they do things, and you don't have
to stay up every night till all hours. If there is
something you really want, look around hard for it, instead
of just hoping you will get lucky. Of course luck plays
a big part. I got lucky a couple times last week, lost
one too (see my NM post). I've been looking for a certain cel
for 6 months!
Everybody wins some and loses some. There is nothing
wrong with making suggestions to try and make things fair,
but he has put stuff on auction, and I can't see that he plays
favorites with the big spenders.
I think he tries to help other collectors because he enjoys
cel collecting himself.
Sorry if that seems really defensive, I just think that as
a dealer Yann has done a great job, and with putting out
stuff like the forum and the tracking list he deserves a
thank you. I understand how frustrating it can be- I am
lucky because I spend lots of time online, but unlucky
because, like most of us, I don't have lots of money to spend.
But I do believe you can help yourself more than anyone else.

My $.02
