Sigh, yeah I know what you mean... (Fri Aug 18 15:08:00 2000 )

Baked SPAM!

Dear AO/Anonymous,

Sigh, yeah I know what you mean. Right now, I'm
bidding on a pencil sketch that matches a cel I
just bought recently from the SAME seller @_@!
Apparently, he has no qualms about separating
sketch and cel >8(, and it's from a cheap show
too!

As far as the practice is concerned, I understand
why some dealers do it, especially in cases where
the cel or douga is from an EXTREMELY rare scene,
an EXPENSIVE series, or an AIC show whose sketch
was separated a long time ago from its cel.
However, it is always nice to have a matching
sketch to go with your cels =), so I would prefer
if they remain together always.

I know that isn't always possible though =(. Many
of the cels I have of the "rarer" characters DO
NOT have their matching sketch at all 8(. I'm not
surprised though.

On a side note, when I bought my first dougas, I
bought one douga because it was the mate to the
cel I had =) (an exact match in numbering as
well), so I could reunite them at last! Later, I
found out that the other douga I bought MATCHED
someone else's cel exactly (including the sequence
number), so I sold it to them so they could
reunite them too =). WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF ME
BUYING 2 DOUGAS AND LATER REUNITING THEM WITH
THEIR CORRESPONDING CEL?!?! Now, why am I not
this lucky in the rest of my life? =/

Sincerely,

Sonia
