actually almost all, if not all of Disney's 
animated tv shows are animated overseas by asian 
animators. only the storyboards and some of the 
layout and character design is done over here.  So 
the look of the show depends on the character 
design that is done in america. how WELL that 
character design is done justice depends on who 
overseas animates it. there are SOME of the 
companies that Disney farms out to that are better 
than others. Disney Korea for example is one of 
the better ones. (I believe they did Awakenings 
and Hunter's Moon and a few other episodes...if I 
remember correctly)

As to where you can get them, search out american 
gallery sites. Be warned that a CHEAP price for a 
gargoyles cel is in the $200 range. most are 
within the $350 to $500 range. Its unfortunate.  
Not a whole lot of cels were released from the 
show to be bought.
