I am sorry to say it but I think that it's total
crap ! Everybody, you included, will pay what
you think an item is worth to you and what you
can afford.

Don't tell us that you "consider how the market
work" and bid "reasonable prices" ! You bid what
you want to bid for an item. Some people want/can
bid more, other want/can be less : that's the
main idee behind an auction.
If you didn't bid higher on some item, it's not
because you didn't want to raise the price. It's
because you considered that this item wasn't
worth more _to you_ or that you couldn't afford
more. Stop trying to make it sound like if you
are doing us a big favour by not wining an auction !

Oh, and japanese are perfectly able to bid very
high prices too. For some anime, they will bid
much higher than non japanese : what is popular
in Japan is not always popular in USA or Europa.
The reverse is true too.

Every so often there is such a mail on the forum
about a new japanese dealer, a new website posting
some information, about Yahoo. I am pretty sick
of this hypocrisy! Always making it sound like
if only a select few (among which the author of
the mail is, of course!) can have access to
those information, use those services or try to
deal with those dealers. And that anybody else trying
are hurting collectors/dealers/the community/the
whole of Humanity...
Please stop ! You are only trying to protect your
own little interest against something that is
prefectly normal so don't put the fault on
others.

You can't get awfully good deal anymore on
Yahoo but only normal deals ? No need to
whin about that : it was unavoidable. Did
you consider asking Yahoo to allow only
a single bidder : you ? Because that's the
only way to solve _your_ problem.

Why don't you stop using Yahoo/Ebay or other
auctions ? As you said it yourself, there isn't
anything interesting/worth its price there. So
it shouldn't change anything to you.

I want an auction with very low starting
bid and no bidder at all ! -pout-

Cheers,
Yann Stettler
