Just a thought: I think the prices of Gundam Wing cels
are starting to go down. It used to be that the base price 
was $200, even $700, for some cels. Now, it's hovering 
around the $100 mark, and it might go even lower with
all of the cels flooding ebay recently. 

I think there was a similar situation with SHIN Tenchi Muyo
Ryoko cels. At one point they were up to $400 on ebay!!! 
Now the prices have come down to more sane levels -- except
for OAV cels, but let's face it, they're worth it. 

I think though, that Ebay's one of the worst places to
judge prices by. It
only takes two insane bidders to inflate the prices of 
something, but it doesn't mean that the average 
consumer's willing to leap up to their level. For example, 
I think that someone said that at the last convention, the
Gundam Wing cels didn't move because of their prices.

Anyway, the samething might happen with Escaflowne, a
momentary insane high, and then the prices will level out.
I just keep on telling myself with approximately 20 000 cel
and 26 episodes, there should be more than enough cels for
everyone.
