I am currently scanning to try and get an update done in
the next several weeks. In the group, are a couple of
virtual fighter opening and closing cels. Since I have never
seen the movie, two cels are giving me particular problems.
Both are from the closing (scene ED-9) and both were drawn
from the same sketch. The first (marked A1 key animate) is 
totally done in black, while the second (marked A2 also key
animated) is done entirely in blue. I am assuming the A1 cel 
is the backlighting cel and was used to black out the some
modulating background, so that the blue could then be 
superimposed later.

What I really need are the opinions of people who have actually
seen the ending and those people who have a better understanding
of the backlighting process than I do.

I am including the scans of both cels and the shooting instructions
that were contained on the sketch.

Here should be the A1 cel.
