Hey, I totally agree. 2 days is not anywhere
near an unreasonable amount of time, a week isn't
unreasonable, I think even a month isn't that
unreasonable if you keep the seller informed and
don't keep that person hanging, wondering if
the sale is going to fall through or if he/she
will ever move the merchandise...
This sale in question was discussed in November,
price was finalized/agreed on in early December,
and by mid-January the seller still had not
received the first payment and had to keep
emailing the buyer for an update... you don't
think this qualifies as a sale to be cancelled
if the seller no longer wishes to wait? As far
as I understand, the sale was for a pretty
expensive price (although I don't know the
exact amount)... I think it's worth losing
$100 or whatever in the end if you can move
the cels out in a reasonable amount of time
instead of sitting on them for another several
months.
I think the key action is: keep the seller
informed! Once the seller has to start chasing
buyers through email, the sale is immediately
in doubt (in my mind).
But that's just my opinion. The collector who
is selling these cels will probably kill me when
she reads this thread anyway, since I'm always
sticking my nose into her business. [laugh]
