I'm sure everyone has heard far more than they care to of
me going on about my cel of Larva and Garline. ^_^ That is
a cel I would never part with. . . Why? As spoiler-free as
I can describe it, this scene in Vampire Miyu TV was so
incredibly moving to me - moreso than anything except
possibly Yuusuke watching his own funeral in YuYu Hakusho.
It is the ultimate example of someone (Larva) upholding a
very important promise to a friend (Miyu) no matter what
the cost. I wanted a cel from this sequence so badly. . .
The key thing to this particular cel that makes it perfect in my eyes (other than that it depicts the entire picture
that is on the screen at that moment minus the background)
is Larva's hand which is raised to hug Garline.

Incidentally, this is the only cel I've ever bought for
which I didn't even glance at the price before ordering it.
I could have been in a lot of trouble, but Taro's pricing
is merciful. ^_-

The other cel that will only leave my hands when pried from
my cold dead fingers is the oversized one shown below of
Keith and Burn. Every time I look at this cel I can't
believe it is mine. My Psychic Force page has a little link
to a section explaining my addiction (*grin*) so I won't
repeat it here, but the importance of this particular shot
of Keith and Burn is that these are two very good friends
who have met again after years of being separated only to
learn they now have to overcome their new differences if
they wish to remain friends. They have to come to terms with
the fact that, while they both strongly value the past they
share, they have changed in each other's absence and in this
moment, Burn is trying to imagine where Keith is "coming
from" (unfortunately, they do not show Keith's thoughts).

This is one of only two cels that have been bought from
other private collectors for which I offered my "offer that
cannot be refused". (The other is the Blue Seed cel of
Momiji and Kusanagi.)

You could morgage your house, your dog's house, and sell
your spouse into the slave market and you still wouldn't
have enough money to make me consider parting with either
of these cels. ^_^

Many Sharp Smiles,
--Drac
