good thing i'm a girl, and have nothing there to

you know what i'm tired of?  people who, through 
ownership of a cel seem to think they 
have 'ownership' of the related image.  not so.  
the production company/creators retain that 
right.  plain and simple, asking 'permission' of 
the cel's owner would be pointless, because the 
permission isn't theirs to give.  (and yes, 
technically fan cels are illegal ^^;;)  so it 
doesn't matter whether i make a fan cel based off 
a real cel, a screen capture of that same cel, or 
an image that may be in an art book of that same 
cel.  the end result is the same, a 'rip off' as 
you call it, but there you go.  (hell, it's not 
as if i was claiming the Yue cell as an 
original.  i even admit it looks nothing like 
it.  but as it *was* a first attempt i thought 
i'd try something easy before moving to Other 
Things.)  and, i suppose then if you don't want 
someone making fancels of 'your' cels (not that 
you really have the right to object), that you'd 
be upset if someone were to make a fan cel of a 
cel, say, one sequence number off?
