If you bid by small enough increment, you will
finaly get the same bid as the maximum of the
highest bidder. You will know this because it
will display as current bid what you entered
but you won't have the item. (oldest bid is
the one that count). The current highest
bidder won't be outbided so he won't receive
an email and know you are at equality with him.
But yourself, you will know that whatever you
bid then will be enough to outbid the highest
bidder.
