Yeah, go ahead and frame if you want to.  Just 
make you have some way of neutralizing/absorbing 
acids as described in all the previous responses, 
and keep away from high moisture areas like 
windows, the bathroom, kitchen, etc. . . (oh, and 
UV resistant glass on the frame).
