It's not surprising. Transaction fees for credit 
cards is around 2%, so they need to recover their 
fees somehow. 

No dot com can keep up free transactions forever 
unless they find a way to make money. I can't see 
how they can make money other than by charging a 
transaction fee and I suppose they can't either. 
The 2% adds up.
