Hi! There was a similar situation on Yahoo
auctions a couple of months ago where a seller
had stole several Sailor Moon cel images and
posted them up for sale on Yahoo at ridiculously
low prices (these were cels worth over $150 or
more!).
Several people, in the Shoujo Anime Traders club
on Yahoo, spotted the fakes and reported them to
the original owner of the cels. She promptly
took her gallery down and had to stamp the images
with her name. This wasn't the first time it's
happen to her!
Anyhow, people that knew the deception bid on the
auctions to prevent other people, who didn't know
about the fakes, from bidding. After the
auctions ended, they all gave the seller negative
ratings. After 8-9 negatives, their account got
cancelled by Yahoo. It was really nice of these
people to risk getting a negative on their
ratings so that others wouldn't get cheated by
this slimeball!
I say, keep the gallery up but put your
name/email on the images to prevent people from
stealing them! |
