Geez, this sounds pretty bad. I'd say keep the 
faith but 6 months? And cash too...eek. I had a 
somewhat similar experience. After two 
months the guy only wrote me once telling me 
he hadn't received payment. Then I sent him 
the receipt of the deposited check. Finally I got 
the product. So, perhaps there's still hope???

If you post who he is, perhaps someone 
knows if he has a new URL. Or check with 
some other fancel artists. I know Lina Inverse 
of Madam Hotohori's keeps in touch with 
fellow anime artists. Maybe he's got a 
reputation for this kind of thing. 

Bummer though. Hope you didn't pay too 
much for it. Still, I hate feeling ripped off.  :-(
