It came on TV around '89-'91...around 1 in the
afternoon because I remember the height of our
day in the summertime was watching it while
eating our fishsticks and tater tots for lunch.
Here are the many things I remember (although
this show hasn't been mentioned by anyone else
online)...

Main characters
Lila Bit...a little girl. She had a pet flying
squirrel who was her main transportation
^^...forgot its name. She lived with her uncle
who was a doctor and always looked drunk because
he had a big red nose. I believe she was an orphan

Uhm...I forget everyone else's name, but there
was a boy who was also a main character,
obviously he and Lila Bit were "involved"
somehow. He also had a pet familiar...a rat or
chipmunk or something I think. He was always
hanging out with these other guys his age

Old Sage-type bit...this guy hung out around this
old castle type building that everyone seemed to
be in awe of. I think it had the little Shinto
paper charms all over it, and they had a picture
of it in the ending credits each time. One
episode revolved around the main guy and his
friends trying to find some herb to save Lila Bit
because her dad had to have it to cure her from a
sickness, or something. The door would open once
every year and close at sunset I think, and I was
REALLY scared they'd get trapped in there...it
was like a dark scary cave on the inside.

Once they went on a quest of some other sort and
befriended some deer I believe.

Another episode talked about their origins as
nomadic type elves...

The opening theme went something like "It's the
L'il Bits! It's the L'il Bits!" I probably have
some of it taped somewhere in this house...
anyhow, that's all I can remember. The Saban logo
showed up at the end of every episode.
