I guess, they went a long time ago, to a lot of 
japanese folks, cause if you look at western 
galleries, there are mostly just plain cels.(my 
opinion)
If you want, i could send you some scans, of 
Akira cels with bg's, that i found on the net.
(some dealers too, but pretty expensive)
