though i think , as long as you remembered to 
click the "Send" button your request was sent.  
When they get recieve it is something different.  
I had once sent an email and it didn't pop up 
in the recipients's inbox until three months 
later.   It was strange, it was filed along with all 
the other emails sent around that date, but 
apparently invisable.
