I think Xelloss may be right =/. I have tons of cels like that! (Fri Mar 2 00:40:48 2001 )

Sigh, how can I fight a battle half a country away 8(?!
I need a chakram!

Dear jINx,

Hi, I have TONS of cels with that jagged edge
@_@! All of them have that jagged edge on the
top of the cel, and all of them have correction
holes taped to it to make up for the missing edge.
I have always wondered about that myself, but
after reading Xelloss/Karen's explanation, it
finally makes sense (Now why didn't I think of
that before?!). The cel was probably painted at
the very END of the roll of acetate, and in my
case, to make sure it lined up with the rest of
the regular sized cels, extra pieces were taped
onto it to make up the size difference. I guess
since cels are considered "industrial trash," it
didn't matter if the images weren't on a perfect
sized cel =/, plus it helps make sure there is
minimal waste.

In my case, those damn taped on holes or pieces
really distract the cel appearance or at least it
does to me. In the past, I just left them alone,
but lately, I have the habit of removing the taped
areas and cleaning up the tape residue =}. I keep
the "extra" bit of acetate/cel that was taped onto
the cel, and I put in the bag with the cel itself.
By the way, I did ask the forum about their
opinions on this awhile back ;).

Although, I must admit that I'm still wondering if
it's best to leave the area taped on as a reminder
of the cel's history/past or not =/. Any new
opinions on this would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Sonia whose last order had 2 cels like that =/
