Step 1) Back up your email data files and bookmark
lists, preferably to a burnable CD, ZIP disk, or
other computer via network.
2) Run a complete Scandisk, followed by Defrag.
If anything claims to be broken, let the computer
fix it.
3) Uninstall and reinstall your email client and
browser.
As somebody who spent quite a few years playing
incredibly buggy pre-release videogame software
for a living, this three-step process has become
second nature for me. :P Nothing hoses the
system quite like a few unsupported alphas in a
row!
