I don't know if this has been discussed before, 
but it has been irritating me so much that I 
still need to say my piece.

If at all possible, please boycot the cel 
auctions of E-Bay seller "ryvius" ... here is why:

[1] Practically all his cels (particularly from 
Tenchi, Lain, Card Captor Sakura, Weib Kreuz, El 
Hazard and Dual!) were purchased from the 
Animate! USA store in Los Angeles.  Virtually all 
the cels originally range from $9 to less than 
$30 at this store.

[2] "Ryvius" simply visits this store weekly, 
buys up all the best cels at these very low 
prices with his credit card, and re-sells them on 
E-Bay at an enormous profit.  I have spoken with 
the store employees and they all know who he is 
(but they cannot do anything about it).

[3] Because of him, people who bid on his 
auctions are getting suckered into paying far 
higher prices for cels that are probably no more 
than $7 to $21.  Not only that, he is obviously 
just a profiteer who doesn't have the genuine 
love of cels as you all do.

BUY FROM ANIMATE!, NOT FROM "RYVIUS"...

If you live in the Southern California area, make 
every effort to visit the Animate! store and go 
cel shopping there.  Buy the cels from the source 
and at a much cheaper price than you would 
from "ryvius".

For those of you who do not live within driving 
distance, I guess you have no choice but to bid 
on the auctions from this dude and get cheated.

However, keep track of the Animate! web site as 
they might eventually have a fully online 
shopping system for all their cels (they only 
have a few online right now) in the future.
