Here are four of my examples.  The upper left 
hand corner is obviously Heero from Gundam Wing - 
the motion effect of the bullet is airbrushed 
onto the cel.  The upper right is a cel of Marron 
from Bakuretsu Hunters - the light from the 
lantern is an airbrushed effect, but you can't 
seen it very well unless you scan it against a 
dark background.  The lower right is Veffidas 
from Macross 7 - in this case the speed line 
effects from her drumsticks are airbrushed.  And 
finally, I have no idea what anime the cel on the 
lower left is from - I bought it because I 
thought it was interesting.  It's a theater 
showing Romeo and Juliet movie.  The theater 
itself is a painted background.  Romeo and Juliet 
are on seperate cels, and Romeo's mouth is also a 
different cel.  And the very top cel is an 
airbrushed special effect of some kind of energy 
ball.  If anyone knows what anime this is from, 
I'd be grateful!
