You are forced to bid exactly what you want to 
pay---not what the going rate is.

This method really favors the seller, but if you 
want a bright side: at least it keeps people with 
deep pockets from continually raising their bids 
to beat out the competition.  They, too, have to 
place their ONE bid up front.
