Hmmm, well I seem to see that Tamahome cels are 
more important to collectors because of the 
ancient China clothing. Plus he's more cuter that 
way in my personal opinion. Ithink others think 
that way too-some people do. The designs for the 
OAV are really really beautiful too! I love the 
Tasuki deisgns better in the OAV-even though the 
OAV is very rushed-belive me, OAV I never existed 
in the manga! Which made a lot of fans mad. 
Anyway, it is a bit confusing, and I hope other 
fans you might know for sure would correct me if 
I get anything wrong too-I have not read all the 
mangas yet, but know a few facts.

Well, it seems that maybe Taka was all along on 
Earth, and I think he is the reincarnation, but 
dunno about that stuff or what happened there. 
All I know is that Tamahome gave up his memories 
to go to Earth and that was the only way.
Taka and Tamahome are the same person-he is 
Tamahome from what I've seen and he has 
well...Tamahome's memories, or has to get them 
back. I guess Taka was a reincarnation somewhat. 
I've read this book that is close to the Fushigi 
Yuugi saga. Girl gets guy and every tie they meet 
in another time period, he don't remember her, 
but he does later as familiar things are brought 
to him. Then four hundred years later he is born 
again for her time period, and then like they can 
be together and remember some things, but it 
seems like would remember evertyhing later on. It 
was his soul in another body that looked like her 
lover. The same soul, different place and time 
somewhat. Good book, but anyway-I think it is 
close to that. Same soul, can't take his 
memories, but can go get them. It just seems my 
observation especially after reading that book 
that was close to the same thing that was going 
on in FY.

Anyway, some of my ideas, but I think because he 
is popular is because f his clothing and long 
hair too. The Chineses clothes are really cool 
and I'd get a Tamahome over Taka any day because 
Tamahome was a bit more cooler in my opinion 
anyway-although the OAV Tasuki was a babe-even in 
the manga he was... Ok, hope that helps any!
