Why is it so hard to find anything?? (Sat Jul 7 18:21:07 2001 )

wish i had one.....

I suppose it's because i got into cel collecting
a little late. (The first anime i ever saw was
Unico and i was just a kid and didn't even know
what it was then.) But i didn't even think to
start til a couple of years ago and it seems that
everyone already has gotten the cels that are
good out there. i have just gotten interested in
DBZ about 2 or 3 years ago and i simple can't get
my hands on any cels from the series. I'm looking
for all the major characters, Goku, Vegeta,
Trunks and Piccolo. seems these are the hardest
to get. I won't mind something small, not too
glamourous (nor expensive) I did manage to get a
Krillin and an modest cel of SS Gohan from what
looks like the Cell Saga.:) But the place i got
it from-- well, celga-- they bid on your behalf
because it's a japan auction, no outsiders. it is
great because they have stuff you can't find
here. but it can get real expensive. the cel
itself wasn't-- i just spent about $70 on
shipping! :P because they have it shipped to
them, which then in turn is shipped to me. plus
they have whatever charges for their services.
let's just say i spend the entire $300 (plus
over) i had rather swiftly. :P i got just 6 cels
out of the deal. *sigh* i like ebay, but like i
have read on here. there are just some people who
can spend a couple of hundred and outbid you at
the last minute. :P I do have enough to call it a
collection (eventhough i had most of them made by
someone who turn pics into cels.) i have many
listings of dealers, but many don't update their
cels anymore. unless i can go to an individual
who might have something they are willing to part
with (and i can affordand trust). what can be
done? is there any way to get really nice cels
without going bankrupt? :P (sorry this is so long)
