"Why I stopped collecting DBZ/GT (for now)?"

More than a few people have asked me this 
recently and I`d like to explain it this way.

 Well, for now I have put my DBZ collecting on 
hold. I was over-doing it really. I had amassed a 
lot of really nice cels fast!, but not too many 
that I could imagine framed on `my` wall. Why? 
Because, I really only wanted to collect a few 
characters after I really, really, considered it.

 I had started out collecting all of the major 
characters and villians like a lot of other DBZ 
collectors do. I decided, after some time, that 
this was wasteful. I began to concentrate on the 
few characters that I really admired. Those 
happened to be the two of the rarest characters 
in the whole series!! That meant that I had to 
spend more money. So, I began to sell the lower 
priced cels. Usually the villians. I still like 
Broly though (1st movie) ^-^. And do plan to 
collect him again if given the chance, in the 
future.

 Anyway,I also started to sell all of the 
character cels that I could live without, Trunks, 
Vegita, and other popular DB characters in 
exchange for different  cels that I also enjoy 
immensely, and tend to be from rare and expensive 
anime series. 
Still....  
It was tough to do!!, I really like DBZ!! BUT at 
the same time, although my collection has been 
down-sized, I feel even more satisfaction now, 
especially with the edition of 3 new Superb 
"Gunnm" cels along with a few others. 
  Conversely, I would not trade head to head, or 
sell a good Gunnm cel for any Dragonball cel!! I 
also, like Escaflowne (movie)cels tremendously, 
but to a slightly lesser degree. 

Last, I also, unfortunately had my share of shady 
or unstable collectors from the DBZ/GT series. I 
was very fortunate not to have been completely 
ripped-off. I took a break from the crowd.

  On the other hand, I have meet some of the best 
collectors from this series and I consider them 
to be some of the most decent and honest people 
that I know collecting... period. And a lot of 
them I owe a tremendous amount of credit for all 
of the wisdom and advice that I have received 
over the past 5 or 6 months. Thank you for your 
concern.
