That's what Madhouse and Anime Link are doing 
now, just releasing the VHD cels slowly, like X 
and Ninja Scroll.  So they can keep the VHD cels 
in high price ranges from the beginning.  Of 
course, that depends on the popularity of the 
movies too.  Metropolis is also from Madhouse, 
but the demand is low.
