Maybe i have come across bitter but i am just
against all forms of unjust interference on other
state's affairs & all forms of imperialism
whether they are cultural, military, religious or
otherwise. I apologise if i come across that
way.

I have no hatred for any race. I have many
American friends who I totally love. In any case
i would not know how to hate a race!

You are right that dealing with an American
company means you are governed to a certain
extent by american law but dealings which are
international are governed by international law
also.

In the case of the UK Visa division, it is clear
that the domestic laws of the its geographical
origin have not amounted to surcharges being
illegal in the UK and other countries.

I would like to think that UK companies which
charge surcharges on Visa etc credit card
transactions are not going to be prosecuted by
the UK or US legal system.

And that choosing to operate in another country I
think VISA have to be looking to complying with
the local laws. Extra-territoriality is a bit
suspect. I'll be first to say that European
powers were totally wrong in subjecting states in
Asia to this principle.
