Thanks for the nice comments.  I hope to have the 
full-size scans up soon so that you can see, for 
example, how cool the cel of Jubei and her Dad 
lost in the woods really is!

As to the thumbnails -- that's part of the reason 
it's taken me so $#!@ long to get this far -- 
that and experimenting with cleaning up scan 
quality, etc.

I finally resorted to using the "resize image" 
help function in Photoshop, and making all of 
them the same width (100 pixels).  I don't know 
that the resize wizard does anything differently 
than just manually resizing the picture, but it 
may ... it does ask whether you intend the 
thumbnail to be used for print or online.  I 
think the quality is generally better than what I 
was getting before.
