Re: Re: Does it really matter? Either way you can't buy it MOVE ON! (Wed Aug 22 00:45:54 2001 )

Sometimes people just ARE sick of reading about
ppl constantly asking ooh how much was this cel
or who got the cel at Taro or at ____(fill in
dealer name)for ____ fill in the series. ALL of
us have at one time or another missed a strongly
desired cel we saw on an update by mere minutes
(I too experienced this even after sending in a
email order less than 10 minutes after something
I wanted posted), it happened to myself but thats
a reality of cel collecting. If you snooze no
offense but we all know you do lose.

The words "MOVE ON" aren't harsh at all, just
depends on how tough skinned or onioned skinned
one might be. Afterall if each of us were
irrated, bothered or broke into tears over every
single spiteful or somewhat degoratory comment
made at us, we'd ALL be seeing therapists and
leading a secluded lives since we couldn't bear
to get hurt. Asisine. What works for myself is
not placing high importance (if any) on what
people say and taking their comments particularly
ruffling ones with a grain of salt. Afterall how
many of us in high school spent alot of time
confirming to the standards others such as what
our peers dedicated and lost sight of what really
mattered to ourselves? Ie our individuality,
studies, art, family, 1st loves?

Also another thing to consider if it really
matters (knowing the cost of a cel you cannot buy
since it was already placed on hold), JUST email
the dealer directly and ask them nicely. If they
refuse well no loss since afterall the cel isn't
available anymore.

But I must agree with Dr. Lara it is a good thing
dealers take down the prices as other collectors,
sellers and dealers DO base their prices largely
on what they see as the current selling market
price. Happens ALL the time at AX, YJP and even
evilbay, think about it.
