Specifically to vegetassj:

Aww too bad you should have said "hi!" We 
actually ran into a LOT of people we knew in 
Japan, even at huge events like Comiket. It was 
weird, I would look up and there someone would be 
that we knew ^_^; We were kinda spaced that day 
because we got up at 5:00 am and took a train 
from Osaka to Tokyo Big Sight O_O. Fortunately we 
stayed at the Washington Ariake Hotel, so we 
could just go to the hotel and die after WF ^_^;

general notes on japan:

We had a lot of fun at Wonderfest! We mainly got 
cards & shitajiki and stuff. I was less than 
impressed by the cel dealers present (AWS and 
Commit). We were primiarily there to pick up some 
Godzilla stuff for our friend at home who is a 
big Godzilla and Gamera fan ^_^; Although I find 
the model section of WF interesting, it's not 
really my thing and I had more fun at the flea 
market ^_^. And Comiket O_o You think my cel 
collection is bad, you should see my doujinshi 
collection ^_^;;;;

As for cels, Casey and I got a little more than 
200 cels on our trip ^_^;; we are slowing 
scanning stuff and turning my gallery into one 
big combined gallery because we can't decide 
who "owns" half the new cels as we both love them 
so much! ^_^ heheh. Most of the cels are from 
series most people don't care about (Nazca, 
Nightwalker, Kiko-chan's Smile, Gokudo-kun) but 
we also got a lot from Card Captor Sakura, 
Shamanic Princess, Rayearth, Slayers, and a 
couple from Utena & other series. 

I only saw a few DB cels in Japan, and the 
sucked -_-# (ugly GT cels, and REALLY ugly DB 
cels of minor characters) And I went to some 
really "top secret shops" and all that, still not 
much. I also only saw really really overpriced 
Gundam Wing cels (like several thousands of 
dollars). Most other series that are popular in 
foreign contries (like the USA) were mostly non-
existant, mostly because the dealers save those 
for sale online to eager foreign consumers. Some 
of the dealers brought out their online wares to 
show us, but a lot said that those cels were 
handled by different offices (especially Anime 
World Star).

Anyway, I'll let everyone know once I am done 
scanning everything ^_^! Even though we got a lot 
of minor series cels, they are pretty amazing; 
hugely oversized, original backgrounds 
(uncropped) with full douga and genga ^_^ 
Sometimes a minor series is a good thing to buy 
because prices will be low and good cels are 
still in abundance.
