I have a multilayer cel (all stuck) with about 9 
staples in them. Two are very low and are still 
visable with framing. I must add that these 
staples seem to be holding the background in 
place. (it's unstuck)

Question is, how stupid of me would it be to 
remove these staples? Not at all, somewhat, 
or "holy crap...don't do it!!" ?
