I tried a couple of experiments with diluted 
paint in my technical drawing pens; the lines 
turned out too light and had rough edges, but did 
seem to be a little more resistant to physical 
damage.  Perhaps I'll investigate a dip pen (if 
they're not too expensive).  Thanks!
